read watchmen back in junior high. had assumed the ending was dark in the way 1984 was dark - as a cautionary tale. later earned that moore was a political fruitloop and met people who believed that he intended ozymandius as the hero of the piece. still not sure which side i fall on.

rorschach is the hero anyway. even if you assume that he was set up as a straw man, some conservative ideas are so powerful that they resonate with audiences in ways the writers never intended.

I've been looking over some of the old cartoons. The Libertarian Man's have been faxed-scanned-compressed-and converted to the point of illegibility. Over the next few weeks I'm going to redraw them. And maybe even throw in a new one. Either that, or finally find a way to kill the damn character once and for all.

But right now, this one is relevant again.
